You must be an icon when you can rock a hot pink, hello kitty looking polo in public. Tiger Woods chose that polo for his opening round at the British Open. If you ask me, it was pure genius.
What better way to laugh in the face of all those snapping cameras at your every move, than to reach into Boy George’s wardrobe and put together a first-round 67. That’s why T. Woods is my favorite golfer, he gets it.
I don’t know if he did any of this on purpose, but the guy put a monopoly on wearing red and black on Sundays at the golf course. It’s only right that his next step is showing the world that ‘real men really do wear pink’.
You can’t insult his manhood, because that’s what got him into his current legal mess - a $750 million mistake - in the first place. Then, to top it off, he has one of the best rounds he’s shot all season, and is 4 shots off Rory McIlroy’s lead.
On a scale of 1-to-‘PYAAHHHH’, I’m giving Woods’ pastel pink polo an awkward, white guy high-five – just like he and caddy, Steve Williams share after every win...classic.
